We are a network of African scientists, researchers, scholars and policy makers involved in vaccine research and development and administration. We provide a forum for African scientists to take greater part in establishing priorities for vaccine development for emerging and re-emerging human and veterinary diseases affecting the continent. The goal is to use AfVANET as a platform to:
Bring together all stakeholders in vaccinology and related sciences in Africa;
Identify and prioritize vaccine gaps in Africa;
Promote vaccine research and development in Africa;
Promote sound ethics, biosafety and biosecurity in Africa.
Our vision is to promote and retain Africa’s potential by fostering collaboration, innovation, training, and trust between vaccine Research & Development organisations and facilities for human and animal health in Africa
